Maintaining Your Borkholder Furniture

We recommend using Borkholder’s Lemon Oil with Bees wax every 6 months for maintenance ~ this type of product is recommended above any commercial sprays.  Using it more often will safeguard and enhance our product even more. 

Caring for your Borkholder Amish Crafted Furniture is simple.

1)   Polish using lemon oil with bees wax every 6 months for maintenance ~ available at most Borkholder dealers.

2)   Periodically remove soil with a damp soft cloth and mild soap.  Rinse and dry thoroughly before re-waxing.

3)    Spilled liquids should be wiped up immediately.

To Apply: shake the lemon oil well and make sure that the surface to be waxed if free of dust.  Apply a small amount of polish on a soft, dry, dust free cloth and lightly wipe over the entire surface using circular motion.  For a softer gloss, buff again, and wipe with a dry clean cloth.

When using your furniture, be sure to protect it from wet and hot as much as you can.  If you spill a beverage or something similar, wipe it up as soon as possible.  When you have hot beverages, protect your table from the extreme temperature it presents.  A good rule of thumb is that you never place anything hotter than you can hold in your hand on the table without protecting it.
